Our Church

The Vision of Our Church
We seek to create a vibrant, welcoming, religious community where the tolerance of diverse perspectives is celebrated. In the search for truth and meaning, we will nurture and support the deepening of personal and communal growth so we each may find the freedom to explore the human spirit in matters of individual faith striving to learn in a safe and loving environment. Each will feel free to give expression to his/her spirituality through activities of worship, social action, community forum, fellowship, and education. As we journey on our spiritual paths, we build our congregational life upon the doctrine of this church, which is love.

Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a community for members and their children to enter into relationship with each other as we explore and share the joys and struggles of our spiritual life. We express the values of compassion and respect for each other and put into practice our beliefs through service to our communities.

The Covenant of Our Church
Toward the good of the entire congregation and beyond, our commitment to each other shall be marked by mutual respect and egalitarianism, by open-hearted care and generous cooperation, by personal integrity and authenticity, and by reconciliation and renewal. We promise that we will strive to discover common ground in our decision-making and to be mindful of our responsibility for cultivating the collective good. We will make the effort to encourage each other on our diverse spiritual paths and to honor each other's individual sovereignty. In all of our interactions, we vow to practice the willingness to listen and the courage to speak. For our children, we pledge to create a sanctuary where they are safe from physical and emotional harm, where they are nurtured with love and wisdom, where they are provided a religious foundation, and where the biosphere, their home, is cherished through our ecologically-sensitive stewardship.
